Over a century ago, Township Mutual Insurance Companies were formed to help provide insurance coverage for rural farms or homes.
Mower County Farmers Mutual, as a township mutual insurer, continued to offer insurance coverage for farms and homes. We reorganized and converted in 2006 as a mutual insurance company, so that, effective January 1, 2007, we provide fire and wind coverages and package with Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company's liability coverages.
Mower County Farmers Mutual Insurance is in association with Minnesota Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies and National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.
